Imagine raising kids who are growing toward full devotion to Christ! Think of a place where children have so much fun learning about how awesome God is that they don't want to miss a single week. Imagine a place where the music is so contemporary and engaging that children leave humming the tunes and singing the words that help them remember biblical truths all week; where video and drama are effectively used to teach this media-driven generation about how to live the Christian life at home, at school and in their neighborhoods. Think of a ministry where children are intentionally shepherded in small groups where they are known and loved; where adult volunteers serve with great joy and passion knowing they are influencing the next generation of Christ's followers. Now, realize that you don't have to imagine it - it's happening, right here, every Sunday morning. KidConnect is a program that is child-targeted, with solid Bible-based, relevant teaching. We've got strong leaders, committed volunteers, a clear vision and mission, and core Biblical values to guide us as we plan fun and faithful activities.
KidConnect takes place each weekend, during our 10:45am Sunday service.
KidConnect is for potty-trained 3 year olds through 5th graders and is held weekly in the Fellowship Hall. Kids are welcomed by leaders and encouraged to participate in activity stations throughout the room - everything from toys and puzzles to crafts and games that pertain to that week's lesson. Next, small group leaders gather their age group together to greet one other. Worship and praise time follows, with the kids singing and dancing to contemporary music. After than the group views a presentation of the lesson - a video, puppet show, song or drama. Finally, small groups convene once again - in fellowship hall classrooms - to discuss the day's lesson more in depth. The groups are then welcomed once again to the common area of the room for more play and fellowship where they will be dismissed to their parents.

All of our students have the chance each summer to spend a week of intense fun and growth at church camp. Church camp provides a way for our students to experience great things that God has in store for their lives through recreation, classes, music, and activity. All camp weeks offered are age specific which allows for a great time of connecting to new relationships with friends as well! FCOC students have the opportunity to attend church camp at either Blue Rock Christian in Thompson, Ohio or Round Lake Christian Assembly in Lakeville, Ohio. Did you know that the church will pay $30 toward the camp fees of any FCOC student up to and including 5th grade for one week of camp?
