"They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord's Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their group those who were being saved." Acts 2:46-47

What an exciting time it was for those early believers in Jesus. People were hearing the good news of Jesus and were coming to salvation daily. The body of believers here at First Church of Christ desire to have a fellowship that is as incredible and exciting as the early church. One of the ways that we are striving to become more like that model church in Acts is to develop our Adult Discipleship Ministry.

The purpose of First Church of Christ is; To make, motivate and mature disciples for worship, witness and works of service. We are striving to do this several different ways:

Community Groups are groups of 8-12 people who meet in homes for Bible study and fellowship. These groups are a great way to build relationships with fellow believers. We have about 20 home based Community Groups that you can be a part of at First Church of Christ. These groups typically meet from September to May though some groups meet through the summer. Most groups meet weekly. Being in one of these groups is the best decision you can make as you grow in your faith. If you are interested in being in a Community Group, contact the church office at 440-357-7422.

Elderberries: If you are 55 or older, please consider becoming a part of the Elderberries. They meet on the second Thursday of each month for dinner, devotions and a program. For more information, please contact Hazel Webster (354-3433).

Ladies Ministry:
Our ladies ministry provides regular opportunities for ladies to gather together for fellowship, study, and building friendships.

Ladies from our church also attend retreats and conferences.

Men's Ministry:
Our men's ministry provides regular opportunities for men to gather together for fellowship, study, and building friendships.

We also have fishing trips, golf outings, and attend Promise Keepers conferences and Men's retreats, too.
